Good news! "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report" will be back on the air next month, even if the writers strike continues. Apparently, without writers, much of the material will be improvised.

According to NPR the two would prefer to go back to work with their writers. However "if we cannot, we would like to express our ambivalence, but without our writers we are unable to express something as nuanced as ambivalence."

I understand where the writers are coming from, but I sure am looking forward to some new episodes.

Excellent news.

I almost look forward to seeing them without the writers to see just how good they can be.
